Iced tea without sugar: TEABALLS varieties and sets at a glance

Iced tea without sugar: how to make it with TEABALLS

Iced tea is a drink for every season – and it does not have to be sweetened. Depending on the product, sweetened ready-to-drink iced tea contains up to around 8–9 g of sugar per 100 ml (sources: Health Promotion Switzerland, Verbraucherzentrale NRW consumer advice centre; as of 1 October 2026). If you would like to make iced tea without sugar yourself, you can use TEABALLS: pressed extract pieces that dissolve in water.

It works like this: put 3 to 5 pressed pieces into a glass with 3 dl of water, stir briefly, and it is ready. No variety contains added sugar. The range comprises 24 varieties, 8 of them organic (16 TEABALLS varieties and 8 organic varieties). The 16 TEABALLS varieties are suitable for iced tea, as they can be prepared cold or hot; the 8 organic varieties are only for drinking hot.

For context: according to the nutritional information on the product pages (e.g. Lemon Vitamin C), a glass (3 dl) comes to around 3 kcal, i.e. about 1 kcal per 100 ml – almost calorie-free. The sweetener sucralose is found in only four varieties: Energy, Mango, Blueberry & Coconut and Watermelon. The other 12 TEABALLS varieties and all 8 organic varieties contain no sweetener. All varieties and sets presented in this article are free of sweeteners.

TEABALLS Set of 5 BIG CITRUS

TEABALLS Set of 5 BIG CITRUS

Five varieties in one set: orange, peach, apple, lemon and mint. The set contains five bottles of 150 pressed pieces each. At 3 to 5 pressed pieces per glass (3 dl), that makes 150 to 250 drinks, or 45 to 75 litres. All five varieties are free of added sugar and free of sweeteners. The peach variety contains black tea extract and therefore natural caffeine.

TEABALLS Set of 3 EISTEE MIX

Lemon, mint and peach: three iced tea classics in one set. Three bottles of 150 pressed pieces each are enough for 90 to 150 drinks at 3 to 5 pressed pieces per glass, or 27 to 45 litres. All three varieties are free of added sugar and free of sweeteners. Peach contains black tea extract (natural caffeine); lemon and mint contain no tea extract.

TEABALLS Mint

TEABALLS Mint

TEABALLS Mint is made from peppermint extract and acidity regulators, with no added sugar and no sweetener. Dissolved in cold water, 3 to 5 pressed pieces per glass make a refreshing mint iced tea for hot summer days.
Whether as classic iced tea or as a spritzer with mineral water, mint is versatile, at home and on the go. With hot water, it becomes a mint tea. The variety contains no tea extract and therefore no caffeine from tea.

TEABALLS Peach Iced Tea

The classic among iced tea varieties: peach iced tea made from black tea, hibiscus and camomile extracts with natural flavouring and natural lemon oil, with no added sugar and no sweetener. Preparation is easy: dissolve 3 to 5 pressed pieces in 3 dl of water, add ice cubes, and it is ready. Because of the black tea extract, the variety contains natural caffeine.

TEABALLS Green tea

TEABALLS Green Tea is made from green tea extract and acidity regulators, with no added sugar and no sweetener. With 3 to 5 pressed pieces per 3 dl of water, you get green iced tea without a tea bag and without steeping time. A slice of lemon in the glass is a serving suggestion; the variety itself contains no lemon.
Green tea contains natural caffeine. For comparison: according to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR, approximate values), 200 ml of brewed green tea contains around 30 mg, black tea around 45 mg and filter coffee around 90 mg of caffeine.

TEABALLS Wildberry

Fruity and berry-like: TEABALLS Wildberry is made from hibiscus and camomile extracts with natural flavouring and colouring concentrates from radish, blackcurrant and apple. The variety has no added sugar and no sweetener and contains no tea extract. It tastes especially good ice-cold.

TEABALLS Earl Grey

For those who like it classic: TEABALLS Earl Grey is made from black tea extract and natural bergamot flavouring, with no added sugar and no sweetener. Dissolved cold, it makes an Earl Grey iced tea; a slice of lemon is a serving suggestion, as the variety contains no lemon. Black tea contains natural caffeine.

You will find more varieties in the overview Iced tea without sugar. The TEABALLS varieties can be prepared cold or hot; the 8 organic varieties are only for drinking hot and are therefore not intended for iced tea.

Prefer something more subtle than iced tea? Then take a look at the collection Flavoured water without sugar – the Aroma Bundle and the Refreshment Bundle (hibiscus, mint, Earl Grey, green tea, lemon) are possible starting points.

Conclusion: iced tea without sugar, the way you like it

Doing without added sugar does not have to come at the expense of flavour. With pressed pieces, iced tea is ready in seconds – fruity (orange, peach, Wildberry), fresh (mint, lemon) or as tea (green tea, Earl Grey).

With ice cubes, a slice of lemon or fresh mint leaves, every iced tea can be customised. The dosage (3 to 5 pressed pieces per 3 dl) lets you set the intensity yourself. The ingredient lists on the product pages show which varieties contain tea extract (caffeine) or a sweetener. You will find more ideas on our Recipes page.
