Making Peach Iced Tea: A Recipe with TEABALLS, No Added Sugar

Making peach iced tea: a simple recipe without added sugar

Peach iced tea is a classic for warm days. With TEABALLS Peach Iced Tea it works without brewing, without steeping time and without added sugar: put the pressed pieces in the water, stir, add ice cubes – done. In this article you will find a basic recipe, variations and matching TEABALLS products.

Sweetened ready-made iced tea contains, depending on the product, up to around 8–9 g of sugar per 100 ml. TEABALLS Peach Iced Tea contains no added sugar and no sweetener; the peach flavour comes from black tea, hibiscus and camomile extracts, plus natural flavouring and natural lemon oil.

Basic recipe: peach iced tea for one glass

Ingredients (1 glass of 3 dl):

  • 3 to 5 TEABALLS Peach Iced Tea
  • 3 dl cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: fresh peach slices, a slice of lemon, mint leaves

Method:

  1. Put the pressed pieces in the glass. If you prefer a milder taste, start with 3 pieces; for a stronger taste, use up to 5.
  2. Pour in 3 dl of cold water and stir briefly until the pressed pieces have dissolved.
  3. Add ice cubes to the glass and garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon or mint as you like.

Variations: pitcher, hot peach tea and garnish

  • Pitcher (1 litre): put 10 to 17 pressed pieces in 1 litre of cold water, stir and serve with ice. This is an easy way to prepare iced tea for several guests.
  • Hot peach tea: put 3 to 5 pressed pieces in a cup of hot water (ideally 60–80 °C) and stir – this variety can be drunk hot or cold.
  • With fruit and herbs: fresh peach slices, lemon or mint serve as a garnish and add freshness to the glass. The fruit is purely a garnish; the peach flavour comes from the pressed pieces.

Good to know: caffeine

TEABALLS Peach Iced Tea contains black tea extract and therefore natural caffeine. If you want to avoid caffeine, varieties without tea extract, such as TEABALLS Raspberry Iced Tea or Strawberry Iced Tea (hibiscus and camomile extracts), are an alternative. The ingredients are listed on the product page of each variety.
