What Organic Farming Means

Organic tea is grown without chemical-synthetic pesticides and herbicides and without mineral nitrogen fertilisers. The organic varieties from TEABALLS come from organic farming (EU organic). The ingredients are listed on the respective product page; ingredients from organic farming are marked there with an asterisk (*).

TEABALLS: Tea without a Bag

With TEABALLS you prepare tea without a bag. Plastic tea bags can release microplastics: according to a study by McGill University (Hernandez et al., Environmental Science & Technology, 2019), plastic tea bags (nylon, PET) released about 11.6 billion microparticles and 3.1 billion nanoparticles of plastic per cup when steeped at 95 °C. TEABALLS are pressed pieces that dissolve in hot water; no bag and no filter are left behind. The organic varieties are naturally cloudy: a fine natural sediment (plant content) is possible and can be drunk along with the tea.
